With Scholar of the First Sin being almost like a relaunch of Dark Souls 2 it seems we should know what is new to this version.
The Game is essentially Dark Souls 2, but if you are planning on upgrading to the Xbox One version there are some things you should know.
If you download the version 1.10 patch (which is the Scholar of the First Sin free expansion) for the Xbox 360 then you will have access to the content with your current characters. Though you will have to purchase all the previous DLC (Lost Crowns Trilogy) if you have not already bought them, all the new enemy placements and graphics upgrades as well as more online players available at once will not be included.
If you choose to buy the Xbox One version you will not be able to carry any characters over from the 360 to you Xbox One saves. Though you will automatically have all of the Lost Crowns Trilogy included with your copy. You will have all the enhanced graphics as well as new enemy placements and more online players available in game as well. So with all of these details now public we are still left in the dark about what exactly the new portion of the game will entail or roughly how much more of my life will be taken from me. I am not bothered either way, Dark Souls is more than worth it in my opinion. Though with new items, locations added to the game with new weapons and armour to collect I can expect to be spending a lot more time with the fantastic game.
Scholar of the First Sin will be available for download on Xbox 360 as well as a disc copy, as for the Xbox One version will be available so far on disc with no announcement about download. The update will be released on April 7, 2015.
