CD Projekt Red have firmly cemented themselves as one of the highest quality developers of the modern gaming age. The release of The Witcher 3 put this studio on everyone’s radar and gave them a respect for single player narrative driven gameplay that is packed with story. Now after a long wait, Cyberpunk 2077 took over the stage at the Xbox E3 press conference and stole the very end of the show.
The trailer cut Phil Spencer’s round up of the show short and played a very stylised hack into the conference where a telltale soundtrack in the background gave everyone a heads up we were heading to the future.
The futuristic vision of America where mega-corporations are in charge of the economy, government and might as well be the religion as well. It has been a long time coming, but the developers have been keeping quiet as they will only show things when they feel it is right, the same thoughts go for a solid game release date.
This title looks like it is going to be something special, it might not be a re-skin of The Witcher 3 that people wanted. I have faith that this developer have poured the souls into this game and we are in for one hell of a treat.
