Ghostwire: Tokyo launched on March 25th 2022, launching as a timed exclusive on PlayStation 5 and PC.
To help celebrate the successful launch of Ghostwire: Tokyo, Bethesda and Tango Gameworks teamed up with a UK based photographer, who goes by the name of Paperboyo, to bring the game’s reimagined urban legends of Japanese folklore to iconic UK landmarks! Paperboyo (Rich McCor) used a mix of unique and clever photography for which he is known, as well as specially made paper silhouettes. As fans of Ghostwire: Tokyo we thought we would take a look and share them with you!

Ghostwire: Tokyo features characters inspired by urban legends from Japanese folklore, such as Rainwalkers… Which lurk around famous landmarks like Shibuya Crossing. I went to Kensington Gardens in London to use the iconis Banstand to replicate the Rainwalkers’ creepy stance with an umbrella.

A clever use of environment and placement of the paper silhouette and the beautiful but deadly masked spirit, known for taunting her victims Kuchisake-Onna glides ominously across Bexhill-On-Sea promenade.
Kuchisake-Onna is a beautiful masked spirit who taunts her victims… So I used the promenade domes at Bexhill-On-Sea to imitate her hat…
