A new batch of backwards compatible titles are now available on Xbox One.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a third person action title developed by MercurySteam and Kojima Productions which was released on Xbox 360. A reboot of the Castlevania series which was set in Southern Europe during the Middle Ages where you play as Gabriel Belmont on a quest to defeat the Lords of Shadow and resurrect his wife. I played the game way back when and I thoroughly enjoyed it’s Dante Inferno and God of War like gameplay. It is available to purchase and download for £7.99.
The game is fantastic and I recommend you check it out if you haven’t already done so.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 has you once again playing as Gabriel Belmont who has now become none other than Dracula himself following the events of the first game in an open world set much later in time. The player can decide on the route to take and is a hailed as a fitting finale to the series. I’m quite excited for this one myself as I still have it in the cellophane and I now cannot wait to try this one out soon on Xbox One X! It is currently going for £34.99 on the store.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD was previously released on Xbox Live Arcade. This Castlevania: Lords of Shadow sequel reveals the story of the Belmont’s, as they battle destiny across generations, to discover their true fate. Trevor Belmont, knight of the Brotherhood of Light, embarks on an epic quest to avenge his mother, killed by his father, Gabriel. Once Gabriel Belmont, now the all powerful Dracula, he declares war on the Brotherhood, leading to a cataclysmic showdown between Father & Son! You can purchase and download it for £9.99.
We also have Just Cause, the first of Rico Rodriguez’s adventures from the series of third-person sandbox games. The game was developed by the Swedish company Avalanche Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. It is currently available to purchase on Xbox 360 for £8.99.
