With the closure of Irrational Games, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see a new BioShock game on the Xbox One. With Backwards Compatibility however, it may be likely that we’ll see all three games this holiday, as they were (and still are to a point) immensely popular.
For anyone who was hoping to see these remastered, as has been the trend for the past year or so of the new consoles life cycles, there may not be long to wait.
According to an online retailer, Raru, The BioShock Collection will be released on November the 17th for both the Xbox One and the PS4. This listing has been removed, but it’s still accessible thanks to Google Cache. 2K Have yet to comment on this, so it’s neither confirmed nor denied that this is even real.
It’s not unlikely, however, as The Borderlands Collection did hit earlier this year, and it’s one of 2K’s other big budget properties.
Take this with a grain of salt, but I’m sure we’d all love to play those games at a framerate and resolution that can really show off how beautiful Rapture and Columbia are. It even gives those a chance who missed one or all of them a chance to dive into some great quality RPG/FPS mashups.
