Those of you eagerly awaiting the third Battlefield 4 Expansion will be disappointed to hear that it has been delayed until April for the Xbox One and PC. Premium Members were looking forward to their two weeks of early access to the content that was supposed to release yesterday across all platforms, however, due to some performance issues on PC and supposed animation issues on Xbox One, the content has been delayed until an unspecified time in April to make sure the content is of a quality that DICE and EA are happy with.
Naval Strike is set to include new maps, weapons, gadgets and a game mode that is an homage to Battlefield 2142’s Titan game mode. Dubbed Carrier Assault, it blends Rush and Conquest Game Modes where two teams fight over points controlled on the map that fire missiles from silos towards the enemy teams carrier. Once holes are blown in, you can then board the carrier and destroy it from the inside.
It is unsure how long Xbox One owners will have to wait for the content, as it wasn’t until late last night that DICE confirmed that it would be delayed. You can read more about Naval Strike and the issues arisen here.
Naval Strike has released for Premium members on the Xbox 360, so if you own the game on that, you can jump in now and have some fun, though there has been some reports of lag issues in other versions of the DLC.
