Dice have revealed the first detailed trailer for the next Battlefield installment. Without further ado here it is, Battlefield 1:
Blown away yet?
Personally I was a massive fan of Medal of Honor, Battlefield 1942 and Call of Duty when they covered World War 2. The single player campaigns were gripping and the historic locations, weapons and battles just had me salivating. The multiplayer in these games were also never boring. Sure we saw a lot of the same team death-match but the range of maps kept a large amount of interest.
Looks like we’ll be fighting from the back of a Sopwith Camel over London.
Now I lost interest in first person shooters a lot. I saw the whole competition between Battlefield and Call of Duty as being who has the bigger more badass gun. This wasn’t to my taste but it was to a lot of gamers out there. The level of customization and perks made for a more interesting and complex multiplayer aspect.
Are we going to face Zeppelins in the Campaign, or will they act as a tactical bombing unit?
But I am so happy to watch this trailer again and again.
Just to highlight. We have mounted combat. The first ever appearance of tanks in warfare, aircraft being used as a military unit rather than a scout, huge naval battleships, and to top it off, trench warfare. I am very excited to see what DICE will produce with Battlefield 1. From the trailer the engine makes the game look truly gorgeous. And the setting has me hooked. We can see from the trailer, we will have battles in the air, at sea, in the jungles of the British Empire, Europe and the deserts of Arabia.
Keep coming back to see any updates of Battlefield 1.
