The anticipation for Assassins’ Creed: Unity is growing by the day and so are people’s expectations of the game. The capabilities of the Animus have taken us from the Crusades and the Italian Renaissance to the American Revolution and times in-between. Fans of the series speculated ideas of a Feudal Japan or American Western setting (I wanted Victorian London). However, Ubisoft decided to set their latest installment in the French Revolution which is a time drenched in history and open to a vast number of possibilities for the game’s story.
Now Ubisoft released their actual Story trailer for the first (proper) next generation entry into the series.
As we can see from the trailer it is once again a story of redemption (as was Altaïr’s story): we see the new protagonist, Arno, his journey into the Assassins Brotherhood, and what effects it has on the civil conflict in France as well as on the eternal conflict with the Templars.
Assassins Creed Unity is due for release on the 14th of November on Xbox One.
