Ubisoft have released a new and exciting concept, a fan made trailer… though it is not how it sounds.
The latest trailer for Assassin’s Creed Unity shows the action on the street during the French Revolution. The trick is that throughout the trailer you can pause and observe the scene to find hidden details on screen. These can be things such as find the assassins, search for hidden content or explore revolutionary France.

The link will take you to the interactive trailer. You explore the trailer by pausing the screen (simply by holding you mouse over the video) and exploring anything hidden within that certain image. From there you access the gigapan (an online database) and gain knowledge of events, places and assassins.
The fan made section of the trailer comes from the assassins: Ubisoft held a competition in which fans would create their own assassins and then the top creations would be used in the trailer. Now when you select an assassin on screen you find out their creator, and at the end of the trailer you are given statistics of what you have found and how much you managed to miss.
A new and fun concept of involving community into the development and build of anticipation to the game.
Let us know how many you find.
Assassin’s Creed Unity will be released on Xbox One on 11/11/2014.
