Ubisoft have announced a collection of the last few Assassin’s Creed games for the Xbox 360, coming October 3rd. This collection, dubbed Birth of a New World – The American Saga will include Assassin’s Creed 3, Liberation HD, and Black Flag.
All of these games are set in North America during the early days of the American Settlers, and includes the HD remake of the previously PSP Only release, Liberation, which has players taking the role of the first playable female Assassin, Aveline de Grandpré. The others, of course, follow the Kenway line, playing as Connor during the American Revolution in Assassin’s Creed 3 and Edward Kenway, a pirate during the Golden Age of Piracy.
Unforunately, there’s no word on these being developed for the new consoles, but anyone who still has their 360 set up and hasn’t actually gotten up to speed with Assassin’s Creed lately should be able to enjoy this package, paving the way for Assassin’s Creed: Rogue some time in November, which puts the player in the shoes of a Templar during this same time period. Of course, the big release of Assassin’s Creed Unity is only available on the Xbox One, so this may be a final farewell to the franchise on the old platforms.
