In the run up to E3 you can always expect to see the occasional leak, some of which carry more substance than others. Earlier in the week it was announced that the PS4 were releasing a 1Tb version of their flagship console, well earlier today it would appear as if online retailer Amazon have leaked Microsoft’s plans to release a 1Tb version of the Xbox One.
According to the leak, the console will be packaged with the systems newly tweaked controller (which was leaked last week) and a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and will apparently be released on June 15th.
Amazon have since taken down the listing, and Microsoft have yet to make a comment, but considering the release was set for the same day as Microsoft’s E3 conference (coincidence? I think not) so it’s possible an official announcement will appear then.
As fans of the Xbox One know, this isn’t the first 1Tb console to be released, last year a limited edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare console was released, so anyone wanting the bigger storage space had to put up with the garish design.
This new bundle according to the Amazon listing will cost $399, which is the same as the current RRP, so chances are we’ll be seeing another price drop on current bundles.
No doubt we’ll find out more on June 15th, so be sure to tune in to Microsoft’s E3 briefing at your local time for all the exciting news coming out of camp Xbox.
