Just announced yesterday, UBISoft will be releasing Carbon Games forthcoming action RTS, AirMech Arena and it’s looking gloriously insane for a game of this type. It’s also due for release exclusively on Xbox 360 in the summer, proving indeed that there’s still plenty of life in the old girl yet!
Airmech Arena looks to be a fast-paced action real-time strategy game where you control transforming robots, capture and protect bases, and build a colossal army in a MOBA-style experience.
Carbon Games announcement trailer shows the game in all its bombast and glory and whets the appetite for a colourful looking slice of anarchy.
The backstory sees the last survivors of the Great War continue their fight alongside the ultimate war machine: the AirMech. Created using lost technology, pilots have found, salvaged, or stolen AirMechs that they have used to protect the weak, or to pillage.

AirMech Arena will be released this summer and more importantly will be free to play (it’s not known at this point whether we’ll see micro-transaction in-game though).
