Hey folks, this is one that’s not going to be such a pleasant read. The review of Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be up later, don’t worry. If the current events globally are bothering you, then please, feel free to read another article on The Gamerhub’s website. We’d love for you to do that if the events of the pandemic are bringing things home a wee bit too much.

As I type in my flat whilst keeping an eye on my partner’s child, right now around the world, things have got serious. Most of what’s happening isn’t something we can help, but there’s one thing currently going around that we can’t avoid: Coronavirus. Also known as COVID-19, this is a virus capable of speading by air and by water droplets. Unlike most diseases that pass around in the winter time, COVID-19 has an extraordinarily high amount of contagion, which means it’s very easy to get. We don’t quite know where this virus came from, but it’s killed a lot of people. Where I’m based, which is Scotland, it’s killed over 5,000 people.

There is hope, however. We do have vaccines now available, and in my country, the plan is to have everyone vaccinated against this thing by winter 2021. There’s also some things that you can do. Stay as far from other people as you can, keep your mouth and nose covered. Wear gloves to cover your hands and don’t touch your face. Wash your hands before and after eating, the restroom and touching soft and hard surfaces. But the best thing you can possibly do to prevent getting and/or spreading this is staying at home. You can’t do anything better than that. You really can’t.
