One of the trailers not shown at the Xbox E3 press conference was a very interesting title called A Plague Tale: Innocence. This title does not give away too much in terms of gameplay, though it does have a very interesting setting, the black plague, where deaths from the plague were believed to be between 50 and 75 million people.
Developed by Asobo Studios, the game will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
The game is set in 1349 France, the story of Amicia and her younger brother outrunning the inquisition through villages overrun by plague. The siblings will have to team up with orphans and evade the plagues of rats using fire and light to avoid the peril.
Though with the double barrel title, I wonder if the story may be seen from another perspective that just the “Innocence” perspective.
