The shocking announcement of a Gears of War Pop mobile game nearly caused riots all over the Xbox community last night. Then it was quickly shown to be a deliberate tactic as the team at The Coalition have been hard at work creating the next chapter in the Gears of War franchise.
The shocking turn of events at the end of the previous instalment hinted at some larger connection between the new female character Kait and the ever present Locust hordes.
The adventure will break away from the brown and bland colour scheme the franchise has been mocked for, instead we venture through seasons in this title. Where the journey itself seems to be the main story, the search for the answers.
There was also an excellent cinematic trailer shown off, showcasing the games fantastic visual design and how far this series really has come since its conception.
