The age of remastered is well and truly upon us, this time it is the return of the Red Faction franchise. The game has a reputation for destruction on a brilliant scale, where carnage and explosions are as natural as breathing.
Well hold onto your sledgehammers, you only have to wait until July 3rd (03/07/18) to liberate Mars from the evil powers that be.
THQ Nordic have announced the release date of this quickly approaching revolution, along with a Xbox One X enhanced version for people that own the upgraded console. The enhanced version is a standard smoother 60 fps at 1800p or a 30 fps at 4K, have you wanted to play Red Faction at that screen resolution?
Some of the enhancements brought to this remaster are –
- Fully reworked graphics – heavily reworked textures and graphic features adding, for example, specular maps
- Improved shadow rendering
- Improved lighting
- Reworked shaders and postprocessing
while the resolution as mentioned before –
- Xbox One: 900p @ 60 FPS
- Xbox One X: 1800p @ 60 FPS or 4K @ 30 FPS
