For those of you who have read my Sonic Mania review you will know that I am quite a big Sonic Fan. Yes the speedy blue hedgehog has had a spectacular fall from grace whilst other mascotts such as Mario are still in the dizzy heights of fame. Sonic Mania just so happened to tap into Sonics roots which hasn’t been seen since Sonic 3 (some might argue)
Sega have recently announced that the so far digital only game is soon to be getting a physical release titled: Sonic Mania Plus.
Amoungst the re-released additions is the inclusion of two new playable characters: Mighty & Ray.
Also included is an update to the multiplayer mode as well as a teased mode currently called Encore. There is no concrete release date as of yet but we expect Sonic Mania Plus to release sometime in the summer.
Sega have given details on what to expect with the physical release which will come bundled with an art book as well as a reversable sleeve which makes it look like a Mega Drive title…cool eh?
