Last weeks announcement of Rainbow Six: Siege new game mode was met with a mixed response, the new mode looks to deviate from the games current formula. The latest event titled “Outbreak” will feature a more linear and narrative experience than the usual team based events within Rainbow Six: Siege.
Outbreak will be limited to a select list of operators and put players in the position where to have to maintain a quarantine zone. The source of the quarantine is a strange alien vessel carrying the “Apex Parasite” which is infecting the local vicinity.
This latest trailer has Ash contacting HQ and asking for specific operators to come and handle the situation, it might not be Rainbow’s standard situation. From what has been announced of the event so far, it sounds like a 3 person so-operative campaign that goes back to the original roots of the Rainbow Six franchise.
Outbreak will only be available for a limited time, starting March 6th 2018 it will run for 4 weeks before disappearing. We recommend getting practise in now with the following operators that will be available in the event –
- Smoke
- Ying
- Buck
- Kapkan
- Ash
- Doc
- Tachanka
- Glaz
Outbreak will be part of the launch of Rainbow Six: Siege – Year 3 content. The update is titled Operation Chimera and comes with a lot of new content. Expect 2 new operators, new charms, new headgear and new weapon skins with no duplicates to be distributed.
Make sure to have your updates set to auto-download and get ready to play Outbreak on March 6th.
