Codemasters has announced today 17/10/17 that F1 2017 the FIA Formula One World Championship’s official video game has been updated and now features updated car liveries and a number of new features and improvements. Patch 1.9 went live today on all platforms bringing with it the promised Photo Mode for the first time on consoles. Players will now have the ability to create, save and share their action shots from within the game.

Enhanced e-sports related features have also been included most notable of which is the new spectator mode which adds a TV style broadcast element on the left hand side of the screen. You can now shoe the current running positions as well as other statistics such as gap to the leader, gap to the car ahead or behind, positions lost or gained, fastest lap times, current tyre compound, in the pits and number of pit stops to give the game a sense of actually watching a live F1 race.

As a spectator you will be able to control the information you see as well as the timing for the car your watching, fastest lap as well as any sector specific yellow flags. Of course if you would rather just watch the action you can turn all this information off and just watch the race.
