The first DLC form The Surge developer Deck13 releases today and best of all its free! The Surge is a dystopian, hardcore, action adventure title has you fighting for survival a ruined facility after a mysterious event known as The Surge. With unique targeting mechanics and tight combat system you fight utilizing an exo-suit to sever limbs, parts and weaponry from your enemies.
The free DLC introduces 10 new weapons 5 siding with fire and 5 siding with ice and the only way to gain these new weapons is to fight for them. Once installed consult the security memo and the CREO newsletter which are added to your inventory organiser and use the clues to locate the 10 deadly weapons.
MG branded weapons represent fire in this DLC. These high-tech military grade weapons are a deadlier variety of the in games CREO’s riot control products. Wit high physical damage and low elemental damage these weapons power up when attack humanoid enemies with the scorching blades dealing powerful fiery explosions.
CREO’s space travel testing tools represent ice. Harnessing extremely low temperatures these weapons are concepts and prototypes developed in CREO’s very own R&D lab. Providing a passive bonus to health, these weapons weren’t designed for combat so they deal little physical damage but high elemental damage.
Later this year The Surge will be receiving its fire premium DLC, A Walk in the park. This DLC will be set in an abandoned amusement park introducing new weapons, enemies and places to explore. This will also include a free content update to help improve the game for the higher level players.
