For those of us who have been playing Destiny 2 will know already that today is the day that the Leviathan Raid gets it’s new harder Prestige mode.
As of right now the new version is available for all Destiny 2 players. Without a doubt I bet that fireteams are out there right now trying to be the first team to complete it.
For those who have yet to play the Leviathan Raid. After the events of the main game the Guardians receive an invitation by the Cabal’s exiled Emporor Calus. Who has been searching the galaxy for the truths involving the Traveller and it’s enemy, the mysterious Darkness.
The new Prestige Mode promises to bring players new challenges to the existing raid. Bungie has not released what parts of the Leviathan Raid have been enhanced but have assured the Destiny 2 community that they are there and will offer new surprises and challenges. Speculation within my Raid group is that more shielded enemies will be present during the end fight as well as more enemies during the “dogs” section.
Whilst not designed to raise the players overall power level (which is currently capped at 305) the Raid will reward players with unique gear to show the world of their achievements.
