I’ve probably said this before but I loved the Fable series. No matter the critic reviews of the later installments. I remember the day my mum came home and had picked up Fable: The Lost Chapters at a bargain shop for the original Xbox. And I remember when Fable 3 came out. Myself and fellow reviewer Damian Tack @DamianTack went and traded in a host of Xbox 360 games to grab a couple copies.
So I was sad to hear when Lionhead closed. It was the end of an era for me as I had grown up with their titles. But then hope appeared in the form of Flaming Fowl Studios. A group of the devs had been working on a card game of the world of Albion. Fable lives on!

It’s looking like a similar setup to Hearthstone but it will be interesting to see the difference in mechanics. But let’s not ignore the fact that this CCG will have co-op play! I am certainly looking forward to that.
Thinking it can’t be better? Well Fable Fortune will release on July 11th as a free to play title. But if you can’t wait that long, you can purchase a founders pack for £9.99 which allows you to play earlier and a whole host of other goodies.
