Battleborn came from the great minds at 2K and Gearbox, the great dynamic duo that brought Borderlands to our hearts and our consoles. Last year they released an arena FPS game which had a huge focus on multiplayer and yest still contained a trigger happy campaign.
The biggest problem was that Blizzard released their monster title Overwatch at the same time roughly and buried this gem of a title.
Now to give players a chance they never had before, 2K are giving people unlimited access to the competitive multiplayer and full access to 6 heroes from the games massive roster. The 6 playable characters will have full account progression that would be found in the full game, allowing players to experience the full game without having to put a hand in their pocket.
Players who have already purchased and played Battleborn prior to the launch of the Free Trial are now awarded Founder Status and will receive a slew of in-game item rewards including loot packs, credits, an exclusive “Founder’s Crown” Flair item and more. Flair are special pieces of gear introduced with the arrival of the Free Trial that bestow visual components on heroes, such as horns and headwear.
The game is filled with the action, crude humour and beautiful scenery that any fan of the Borderlands series would be familiar with, yet it comes with a new style of gameplay and makes for a brilliant setting. The character design and variation between all characters makes this a fantastic title that was sadly overshadowed at launch.
