Today Ubisoft debuted the trailer for FarCry 5. Take a look at the world reveal below:
Something different right? A modern day western with a crazy cult running the town. Begs the question who you will be and whether or not your side will be chosen. The last instalment of FarCry I played was the third, although that set out lots of communities to help. The story ran itself regardless of a lot of decisions. Then again, the first instalment had weird experiments so it has changed over time.
However, I do get the feeling this big bag guy is a spin off of Vas who was one of the most terrifying and compelling villains in the series. Don’t get me wrong. The whole heart of darkness story-line in FarCry 2 was well done but that theme has been overdone in games now.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens with the gameplay trailer but for now there are a few more videos showcasing the people caught in this world. Hold out for Nick Rye’s one. His story looks to be good. Check out the trailers for The Resistance.
