Oh boy do we have news for you today. Path of Exile, a free PC dungeon crawler/RPG is coming to Xbox One this year from developer Grinding Gear Games. Check out the announcement trailer below!
Path of Exile looks to take its inspiration from titles such as Diablo, Dungeon Siege and Torchlight but with the inclusion of MMO features. Players play through areas of the world by themselves or in a party, but in communal areas they can trade, hire or speak to other players. Path of Exile compromises a whole story plus the 5 current expansion packs. With seven characters to choose from, duellist, shadow, ranger, marauder, witch, templar and scion there are multiple paths to choose. Each class bar one has three separate classes to specialise as well.
I won’t be new to Path of Exile either, i dabbled in the game way back before it even had its first expansion and the game was highly satisfying. With a constant stream of randomly generated weapons and armour to customise your character, as well as the ability to go in more depth with slotting gems into equipment and a huge skill tree, each character is truly unique. I only played a few hours cooperatively but the combat was amazingly fun. My min memory is finding a bow that had a stupidly quick draw speed, I became a sub-machine gunner with a bow.
