The haunting words of the mysterious character known as the Outsider give weight to the consequences of Corvo’s actions within the trailer, “We have both seen cities go bad before, and I have to wonder if you are going to give it that final nudge?”.
A reference to the first game where Dunwall was riddled with a plague, while also giving us a hint of the affairs that will be “Karnaca” the new setting for Dishonored 2.
Dishonored 2 looks to be keeping Corvo with all his original abilities from the first game, maybe to let players know that Corvo is still a force to be reckoned with regardless of his advanced age. The game is shaping up to be an interesting tale of treachery and deceit with hopefully a pinch of redemption in there as well.
