Get your Destructo Discs, Final Flashes and Special Beam Cannons at the ready, because the Xenoverse needs you! Wait, not you. You.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 arrives on October 28 and – as if the wait wasn’t going to be painful enough already – Bandai Namco (formerly Namco Bandai) has released a slew of details so impressive that they could stop Frieza, probably. Players will now have to opportunity to play as one of the most powerful and most popular characters to ever grace the Dragon Ball landscape – Majin Vegeta. You know! From back when blonde hair actually meant something!
Along with the inclusion of Prince Vegeta’s more disreputable side, there will be a variety of new game modes that allow you to pit your custom-made character up against all comers in ranked and unranked matches. A new, ground breaking 6v1 mode will also be introduced; allowing six players to take on one NPC boss. The Z Fighters versus Beerus? Super Saiyans and Piccolo versus Brolly? A team of your choosing versus Super Buu? heck yes sign me up
And THAT ISN’T EVEN THE FINAL FORM. The number of quests has doubled, there will be new versions of parallel quests from the first Xenoverse game, and a new rare item drop system will be introduced, allowing players to hunt for their ideal costumes and accessories. As long as I can dress my character like Android 16, I won’t complain!
Finally: fans from across Europe will be treated to a sneak peek at the online mode in an upcoming open beta. More details on the open beta will be available soon.
We’ll forgive you if you need a Senzu Bean after all that info. Vegeta wouldn’t.
