Hey everyone, Max here with my Top 5 for the week. This week I will be going through my Top 5 Halo Reach Armour Ability’s. Well then lets get in to it –

Number 5 – Drop Shield

The drop shield can be very useful in in some situations, as while the player is inside the shield the player’s health (not shields) will regenerate. Although it sounds like the ability would be very useful in multiplayer i found the best place to use it to its full effectiveness was in firefight and the campaign, and that’s why the drop shield is in fifth.

Number 4 – Active Camouflage

You are probably wondering why active camouflage is in fourth, well that is because when used in Halo Reach the player has the volume of their surroundings reduced greatly, forcing the player to be aware of his surroundings at all times. Another small disadvantage active camouflage has is that if the player is moving faster that crouch-walking speed then the player becomes more visible. One great advantage is that it allows you to activate it when you like, instead of been forced to use it as soon as you pick it up.

Number 3 – Jet Pack

Halo Reach was the first Halo game to have jet packs, the reason for it been present on the list is because of how fun it was to use. Even though the jet pack wasn’t that great to use in multiplayer, it was great fun to use in the campaign and firefight to reign down some aerial destruction, and that’s why the jet pack is third, because it is so fun to use.

Number 2 – Evade

Evade is one of the more practical armour abilities found in Reach, allowing the player to roll in any direction, breaking enemy lock-ons and tracking. I remember having a lot of fun with this ability in Halo Reach’s infection game mode, although it could be quite annoying to control sometimes.

Number 1 – Sprint

Sprint is by far my favourite armour ability as it increases the players movement speed, making them a harder target to hit. Although this does stop the player from firing and the players spartan can be heard panting heavily. Sprint is first as feel that it is the most practical armour ability and is useful to get out of those sticky situations you always find yourself in when playing Halo.

That concludes this weeks top 5. If you have a different top 5 armour abilities feel free to share them in the comments. Please remember all opinions are my own, and any feedback will be appreciated, although please keep it constructive.
