Sword Coast Legends, the Forgotten Realms role playing game comes to Xbox One today. Digital Extreme’s made the annoucnement today that both Playstation and Xbox One players now have access to the previous PC exclusive. Sword Coast Legends brings the world of Dungeons & Dragons to players and their friends. It brings in the dynamic of players working together against another player simulating the dungeon master. Sword Coast Legends delivers a unique experience where the dungeon master guides the players through a customizable adventure.
Here is the E3 2015 trailer, very reminscent of Baldur’s Gate:
The team behind Sword Coast Legends compromises of veteran experts that developed Dragon Age: Origins and they create a large overarching story. In single player, or with three friends, the player is a member of the Burning Dawn guild that travel between epic locations such as the pirate city of Luskan and the home of Drizzt, the Underdark.
In multiplayer, a dungeon master has access to a wide variety of tiles as well as over 700 place-able objects and 100 unique monsters. Dungeon masters have the ability to change the next room and monster spawns as the game plays out. Currently the PC has a campaign builder which may come to Xbox One at a later date.
Sword Coast Legends is available for £15.99 and even better, comes with Rage of Demons DLC which features a new story that follows the legendary Drow Driizt Do’Urden. The other new features allow players to play as a drow or a tiefling in addition to all the other races. There is also the new Warlock class as well as new areas, new visual effects, additional character skill trees and a hardcore gameplay option for players wanting an extra challenge.
Be sure to tweet us @XBLGamerhub screenshots of what you build in the new Redwood. Follow me @MJSaiger, I’m hoping to start a private server over the summer.
