You’re on the site, so it’s assumed that you have some interest in the Xbox brand, but if you’re one of many who have yet to make the generational jump from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, now could be the perfect time to do it, unless you’re holding out for the slimmer cousin slated for a Christmas release.
Microsoft are slashing the price of their current Xbox One model in the Microsoft store, so you’ll be able to pick up a 500GB console with FIFA 16 for the princely sum of £199.99, bringing it in line with the price of the 360. Apparently this won’t be a permanent price drop and more of a flash sale, but it should help to bring more people into the fold considering the price. A quick look at console deals‘ website shows that many retailers are offering similar, or better, deals depending on what you’re looking for.
What this means for Microsoft’s plans for the Xbox One Original remains to be seen, but they’re obviously hoping that the S edition will sell well later this year, so this could be the first sign that Microsoft is making moves to phase out the Xbox One.
