There’s only one release this week and that comes in the form of Trackmaster Turbo, developed by Nadeo and published by Ubisfot.

This is the first trackmaster to be released on consoles since 2009 and as well as that has VR support. So those of you lucky enough to already have a VR set, or are thinking of getting one, you know that you can play this at least.

For those familiar with the game you won’t find much different from previous titles, meaning you can dive straight it and get on with things.

You will find over 200 tracks to get your head around over four different locations; Rollercoaster Lagoon, International Stadium, Canyon Grand Drift and Valley Down & Dirty. Each race will require you to do loads of stunts while going at break neck speeds while trying not to crash or lose control. Easier said than done!

There are a couple of new modes which sound like a good laugh. You have your standard campaign mode, like with most games, but there’s a mode called Double Driver which is a cooperative multiplayer mode where both players control the car. Not sure how that would work but it sounds like it’d be a lot of fun.

Next up is the split screen multiplayer for up to 4 players, so if you have 4 controllers, and 3 extra players, you’re in some massive 4 player action.

Returning from previous games is the track editor, which is pretty self explanatory, although is contains a new feature which will let you randomly generate tracks.

A new feature introduced to the game is Systemic music, which will tie the soundscape to the gameplay which will either intensify, heighten or lessen the music to fit with the gameplay.

If you’re into racing games, and this series in particular, you can pick up a copy when it’s releases in a few days time on the 25th March.
