In news that should no longer come as a surprise to anyone, a console game has been delayed. 505 Games have announced that the Xbox One port of Kunos Simulazioni’s acclaimed PC racing simulator (a racing simulator on PC, not a simulator about racing PCs), Assetto Corsa, has been delayed from its original release window of April, now hitting Microsoft’s flagship console in the month of June.

Boasting a much greater focus on physics – and therefore realism – Assetto Corsa joins the imminent Dirt Rally in offering Xbox One players something a little more simulation-based than your average racer. With over 90 high-performance cars, including the Team Lotus 98T, the Pagani Zonda R, the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Mercedes C9 and the McLaren 650S GT3, and 27 different track configurations, from famed courses such as Silverstone Circuit, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Autodromo Nazionale Monza, and Nürburgring-Nordschleife, Assetto Corsa provides a ton of choice and depth. This depth is also reflected in the number of modes available, with customisable Race Weekends, preset Challenges or a full-scale Career Mode to dive into. And whilst the delay is unfortunate, it’s likely to make an already-polished title even more so.

Assetto Corsa hits Xbox One on the 3rd of June.
