The hauntingly dark and twisted world of FROM Software flagship title Dark Souls is not just a punishing and stressful task, it is a journey of endurance and achievement. The world of gaming has not been truly the same since the release of Demon Souls, the journey started many off with a game that killed players in the tutorial, sealing the games hard to complete status.
Dark Souls cranked the scale up into epic proportions with its extremely imaginative story and refined combat experience. Now a few more years down the line and more games in the “Souls Series” released to the public, Dark Souls 3 will soon be unleashed upon the masses. This almost feels like everything we have played so far to date has been a trial to the challenge that awaits us.
The trailer has a rendition of True Colours that is enough to stop people sleeping at night without being coupled with the impressive visuals of twisted and mutilated creatures expected to find in the game. Dark Souls 3 will be released April 12th on Xbox One and it will more than likely be setting a benchmark for the standard of games to expect throughout 2016.
