Far Cry Primal – 23/02
I’m sure you must have heard about this. The trailers are everywhere as are the posters but Far Cry Primal has arrived and will be released on Xbox on the 22nd Feb.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, and published by Ubisoft, FC: Primal is set in 10,000 BCE at the beginning of the Mesolithic period.
FC: Primal is set in 10,000 BCE, during the start of the Mesolithic period, in the fictional Oros valley in Central Europe. As with past games you can expect an open world filled with wildlife such as mammoths and saber-tooth cat, who will obviously try to kill you. There will also be other tribes, again trying to kill you. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nature was out to get you too.
You’ll be controlling the main character, Takkar, who is stranded in Oros with no weapons (wouldn’t want it to be too easy) after his hunting part is ambushed.

The Flame in the Flood – 24/02
If you’re looking for something a little different then The Flame in the Flood, developed by The Molasses Flood, might be for you.
According to one of the developers the game is like a “travelling survival game”, as you;ll will have to keep an eye on your character Scout, and her energy, thirst, and warmth. Not paying attention to this however, can result in death and once the player dies, the death cannot be undone. So yeah, best to keep an eye on those things at least!
There’ll be a crafting system for you to make items as well as being able to scavenge areas for valuable items. The weather is a factor in the game so you’ll want to be crafting some waterproofs/thermal clothing for Scout while you’re at the crafting.
For those that love some companionship in their games you’ll be glad to know that you’ll have a trusty dog called Aesop with you, who can sense danger and fetch supplies. God traits in a companion!
Reagan Gorbachev – 24/02
From developers Team2Bit, who also made Fist Puncher, are launching their new title Reagan Gorbachev.
The game is a top down, co-op stealth game set in an alternate timeline during the 1980s. You get to control either world leader, each with their own particular set of skills, not sure how many years they accumulated these skills over, that you’ll need to use to battle through dozens of levels.
Plants V Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 – 25/02
Developers PopCap Games will be releasing their sequel to Garden Warfare, via publisher EA, Plants V Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 on Thursday.
Gameplay will largely remain the same as it predecessor with the exception of the addition of 6 new plant and zombie classes, a zombie version of Garden Ops, titled Graveyard Ops, and a new mode called Herbal Assault mode, which supports up to 24 players. Should be some interesting and busy matches for that last mode!
In addition to this every mode can now be played solo unlike the predecessor, although an internet connection is still required.
Another plus is that there will be free content released regularly upon the games release. Not bad!
The Solus Project – 26/02
While not a full release, The Solus Project, developed by Teotl Studios, will be releasing their game on Xbox One Game Preview as a little Friday treat for you all.
The Solus Project is a single player, narrative driven adventure game with survival elements. You’ll find yourself stranded on a distant, unknown planet where you will be challenged to survive harsh, volatile environments with the ultimate goal of finding the answer of how to save mankind, who are on the brink of extinction by the way.
You’ll be unraveling alien secrets from a supposedly deserted civilization. Are you alone though? I mean are you really? You’ll have to give the game a go to find out!
The Solus project will have regular episodic content updates which uncovers more of the alien world to explore with each release. The final episode is due to be released in May.
