Spartans, with a new year comes new surprises on the battlefield. The good people of the UNSC know this very well, so in anticipation of upcoming attacks the Armoury of the UNSC Infinity is being opened up. What this means is REQ packs will contain new armour, skins and weapons for your online combat experience.
New maps are going to be available for both Arena and Warzone matches.
- New Arena Map: Riptide – Scarred by wars both ancient and new, the Created have judged this planet to be in need to significant re-mediation and remodelling. Players will need to quickly learn the winding routes of steel and sand to excel in the weathered structures of Riptide.
- New Warzone Assault Map: Urban – A dynamic combination of social engagement, reconstruction, and security operations was embarked on by the UNSC to disrupt nascent rebel movements, contain extremist politicians, and deny the Insurrection freedom of manoeuvre. Urban is one of Warzone Assault’s open maps with many sight lines.
The weapon that has been announced is the reintroduction of the Halo 2 Battle Rifle. The iconic weapon of the franchise will return in Halo 5: Guardians as a Mythic loadout weapon to deploy in Warzone. The Halo 2 Battle Rifle will also be unlocked in Forge mode for anyone wishing to recreate Halo 2 maps.
Expect new uncommon and rare variants of the Carbine and the new ACHILLES armour set to appear in the new update.
