Last week it was announced from Deus Ex developer Eidos Montreal and publisher Square Enix that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be delayed until August 2016. This announcement comes to many as a sad and heart-breaking announcement; I on the other hand can only see this as a great and wonderful thing. It will allow the anticipation to build once again for the, while letting the beautiful and in depth world flourish and develop.

An official press release is found on the Deus Ex official website which informs us of the following –

“… our aim is for it to be a worthy successor to Human Revolution, and to improve upon that game in every way possible. I know that expectations are extremely high, and we not only want to meet those expectations, but exceed them.

We’re confident and proud of the game so far. However, as we are now playing through the game in full we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards. In order to achieve this, we need to move the release of the game to August 23rd, 2016.

We are sorry to disappoint you with this news, and also thank you for all of your support and comments. This game is a huge part of our lives, and we don’t want to compromise on its quality.

This is proof that the studio is doing the right thing and pushing forward to release a game that they are not only happy with but can also be incredibly proud of. I will be sitting waiting on further news from this game as I was a massive fan of Human Revolution and will be expecting exceptional things from Mankind Divided.

Please find below a gameplay section of the game so far shown off at E3 this year and come to term with how much time and effort has been emotionally invested by the studio so far. Thank you for reading.
