The video pretty much explains anything I have to say ……. but I shall say it anyway. The REQ system is a new system to Halo but seems to be a common theme in many games such as Titanfall and the likes. The system is you earn reward points in game and then the reward points can be redeemed during a match to unlock upgrades, weapons and new styling options for your character. The REQ packs are random so there is no way of cheating or predicting what is going to be in a pack, though there will be a micro-transaction option to pay for more packs.

This might anger or annoy some long time fans of Halo multi-player, though it is brave to see 343 Industries trying to change the mould a little of Halo and try to add their own spin onto a long time staple of the Xbox Live favourite. This looks to add a little balance to online matches and also give you great abilities to turn the tide in a loosing battle.

The only thing we can say is “time will tell” and we shall see if this is a good or a bad change to Halo 5 multi-player.
