Space. It’s big. It’s complicated. To be honest, us gamers tend to take it for granted too. NASA and other Space related programs put a lot of time, effort and money into trying to get up there to find out what the heck is going on outside our tiny little planet. Sure, we reap the benefits in games like Elite: Dangerous, where we can go and visit all the known stars in the Galaxy, but have you ever wanted to start your own Space Program from essentially scratch?

That’s what Kerbal Space Program is about. You start with the basics, a booster, a command pod and a parachute. You also start with some Kerbals, adorable little green people. That’s all you need to get up in the sky and begin your journey into the big black openness of Space. Using incredibly realistic physics, and… other sciencey things, Kerbal Space Program is one of the best Space Sims out there, and it’s doesn’t even have guns.

Though it has been around for a while, Kerbal Space Program only released on PC in April of this year. Sitting in early access states from 2011, it took a while for it to pick up speed. Now, it has been announced that players on the Xbox One will also be able to join in the fun of building your own giant rockets and seeing if you can get them into space!

For privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded.

There’s no release date just yet, but the announcement itself is great news. With Squad working on developing new features (such as multiplayer) and working out bugs as often as they can, Flying Tiger Development will be working on porting it all to the console.

Will you be interested in picking it up? Let us know! Just, one thing. Make sure Jeb doesn’t die. He’s the happiest Kerbal around, and he LOVES space.
