Dying Light was a gem of a game to be released at the exactly right time in the year, when it was released back in January of this year it was met with no real opposition and had it time purely in the spotlight. Many people found this game to be the game that Dead Island wanted to be, but could never truly be. The developer Techland will find it hard to avoid the comparisons to Dead Island (Which they helped create); but for many there is no competition ….. Dying Light is the superior game, until Dead Island 2 appears.

The ending to Dying Light though was an epic battle that left the game feeling open, by this it was obvious some form of DLC was going to be heading our way. Now Techland have came out and announced The Following (which will probably not feature Kevin Bacon) that will introduce us to another huge map to explore and vehicles to help cover that ground.

The vehicles in question will be all-terrain dirt buggies, this makes us think that there will be open areas of off road to explore. The map is rumoured to be the size of the two previous maps ….. COMBINED. If this bold and ambitious statement is true then count me in, as I had a ridiculous amount of fun originally playing Dying Light and more of the same can surely not be a bad thing. Expect more story and side missions to keep you occupied and further the exploration of this new area.

The Following will be free to season pass holders, also available to purchase if you are not a season pass holder. Check out for more information of the DLC as it drops.
