The Capcom Showcase has come and gone, bringing with it a number of updates and a couple of new announcements. Alas, there were no genuine surprises, but there’s plenty to get excited about.
Here now is a recap of our five favorite moments from the Capcom Showcase, in no particular order:
Of Course Dragon’s Dogma 2 Looks Great
The big closing moment for Capcom’s Showcase came with this previously announced sequel, and, surprise, it’s already looking great. It appears to pack all sorts of fantasy based role-playing adventure, with beautiful visuals and all sorts of beasts to slay. Alas, we’re still waiting a bit for its arrival, as it likely won’t debut until 2024. But it’ll be worth the wait, especially since it’s four times bigger than the original games!
Exoprimal Is Dino-Mite!
We’re just over a month away from the arrival of Exoprimal, the new co-op based action/adventure that has you taking on all sorts of deadly dinos. What’s more, it’ll be on Game Pass on day one, so subscribers can check it out for free. But for everyone else, there’s another open beta coming, starting on Friday and running all weekend long. So get your friends together and enjoy some amazing 10-player co-op action!
Objection, Apollo Justice Is Back
Since we need some sort of Ace Attorney game with each passing year, Capcom has delivered with another compilation, featuring three of the Apollo Justice games all in one place. The full trilogy features a full HD makeover, along with all the wacky and wild characters you’ve come to expect in the series. No objection here, we need this in our court.
We’re Waiting Longer For Pragmata
The previously announced Pragmata was hinted upon, a thrilling third-person adventure where a hero teams up with a mysterious child to take on enemies. Alas, you won’t be playing it this year, as it’s set to arrive sometime in 2024. The team explains that more time is needed to make Pragmata shine better than ever before. That’s okay, we can totally wait.
No Trick, Only Treats With This Ghost
Finally, there’s Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, which is set to spook players next month on consoles. You play a dead guy that uses all sorts of objects trying to solve your own murder, while saving others along the way. It’s a neat mystery, and now you can try it out for free, as a demo is available for all consoles. And the progress carries over to the full game, which is set to arrive in just a couple of weeks.
