July is very nearly upon us and with the summer months comes some great free games to get us through the next month, and all the is required is an Xbox Live Gold membership to get these games for free.
Xbox One
Both Xbox One games will be available all month for both games.
Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag

Black Flag is considered a controversial topic when talking to some Assassins Creed fans, it is seen by some as not a “true” Assassins Creed game. This however is nonsense, it is one of the best titles in the series and is full of exploration on a scale not seen before in the series. The open ocean calls Captain Edward Kenway and his journey that leads him to the doorstep of the Assassins.
This is a great game for people who have never played any entry in the franchise before, as well as bargain for people who loved it on the 360 and now get a free copy for the Xbox One.
So Many Me
So Many Me I will admit I have never played, but the trailer above shows its mix of puzzle solving and plat-forming game play. This graphics look very charming and with a pleasant sound track it looks to be an enjoyable and interesting accompaniment to anybodies Xbox One game library that is going to download it.
Xbox 360
Plants Vs. Zombies (1st – 15th July)
This world wide phenomenon is going to be free on Xbox 360 and with a worldwide fan base from young to ….. not so young, this looks to be a great game to get on your 360. A simple and somewhat silly concept sees players fighting off hordes of undead minions, though your weapons for fighting are a arsenal of plants that would make Alan Titchmarsh think twice about entering the garden. The more recent titles in the series have evolved so much from this original concept. It is time to back to the games “roots” before the next game in the series (Garden Warfare 2) is released next year.
Gears Of War 3 (16th – 31st July)
Gears Of War 3 is an emotional roller-coaster of a game, with tense action sequences and a story of comrades in arms. The final stand is coming quickly and humanity will make sure they put up the best damn fight that they can. A 4 player co-operative campaign greets players, which makes this game worth downloading alone. Fight off the Locust and the Lambant with your lancer, and if they get up close and personal then use your trade mark chainsaw which is attached to the front of your gun.
Overall some great and interesting games on offer in the month of July, and some great saving to kick off your summer with.
