One of the most stand out features of Microsoft E3 press conference might turn out to be one of the moments of all of E3 2015. The moment when the introduction of Microsoft Hololens and Minecraft were combined together to make an outstanding display. Fans all around the world were dumbstruck when the augmented reality headset were put on display for the whole world to see.

First the game was shown on a wall, where the screen could be projected anywhere, next they moved the game to a table top and that’s when things got strange. The game map was then projected into a 3D environment and a person wearing the Hololens could manipulate the holographic display. A person playing the world in real time with the projection could be seen to be moving around the map and creating a fully interactive environment.
The scary thing is we all dreamt of this kind of technology and now it is closer than most thought imaginable in our life times, this was not a simple display of what a piece of tech like the Hololens can be implemented with in computer game console. This was a display of the integration between humans and machines, this is how far we have came with technology and what we can do to implement it into a simplistic looking game like Minecraft. The most interesting thing will be to see where this technology will go from here.
