Half way through Bethesda‘s first ever E3 presentation we were finally given a first hint at a proper cinematic trailer for Dishonored 2. From the looks of the trailer the time line has moved on at least 10/15 years from the original as young Emily who was the heir to the throne in the original is now all grown up. As well as being grown up we hear the mysterious voice of The Outsider narrating the course of events that will no doubt set the game up. We see near the end of the trailer that the iconic mask of Corvo the original game protagonist washes up on the shore.
After the trailer was shown, audiences were then informed that Corvo and Emily will both be playable characters and both have their own unique sets of skills and abilities. The game will have many choices on how to tackle each level and will also allow you to have an option for a totally lethal or a non lethal play through of the game.
Shortly after its announcement on the stage, Dishonored and Bethesda social media pages started announcing the games release for Spring 2016. Fans of the series will be happy that by this time next year we will have a brand new Dishonored adventure to keep us going.
Though in the meantime Dishonored Definitive Edition will be getting released at some point in 2015, this will include an upscaled version of the original game and all the DLC packs included in one game and will be released on the Xbox One. Just to wet your whistle for the adventures we will be undertaking next year when the sequel is announced.
