Last week developer Bungie held another live stream event on Twitch to showcase more of what to expect in the upcoming Destiny expansion House Of Wolves. They unleashed a torrent of new maps, game modes and gear to expand on the existing game.
In short some of the key features we have to expect –
- New Co-op Arena Activity – Prison of Elders, teams of three players can take on waves of increasingly difficult enemies to earn loot and gear. Teams will be made from matchmaking or your own fireteam.
- New Competitive Multiplayer Event – The Trials of Osiris, weekly 3v3 elimination event where power levels matter. Entrance is obtained through the trial passage, a scorecard that tracks teams and losses. The more wins your team accumulates in a passage the greater the rewards.
- New Loot and Gear – Expect new weapons, armour and gear for your travels. This will include Legendary, Exotic, Faction and Fallen themed items as well as new shaders, emblems and ships.
- New Story Missions and Quests – Heed the call of The Reef and go clean house in the new campaign for House of Wolves.
- New Social Space – Explore the Reef in a non hostile environment and visit all new merchants, bounties and more.
- Strike Mission: The Shadow Thief – Board the House Of Wolves ketch on the moon and hunt down a notoriously cut-throat Fallen mercenary named Taniks.
As well as three new multiplayer maps
- Black Shield – a decommissioned Firebase is believed to have been a key defensive position used by the Cabal when they established their war-base on Mars.
- Thieves Den – a Fallen hideout located in the calderas of Venus with precarious drops that offer alternative routes for those willing to risk the fall.
- Widow’s Court – an asymmetrical map with both long sight-lines and tight interiors, set in the European Dead Zone on Earth.
If that has wet your appetite then you will be pleased to know that House Of Wolves will be available for download on Tuesday 19th May on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
