Indie publisher/developer Curve Digital have announced that their internally developed sequel to the critically lauded Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark is coming to Xbox One on April 3rd. Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones was a timed Wii U exclusive and is now coming to all platforms this April. Released in 2011, the original Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark never came to Xbox consoles so Xbox users may be unfamiliar with the 2D stealth platformer series but I can assure you that it is not one to be missed.
In Stealth Inc you assume control of a conscious clone, a product of a mysterious testing facility, who is subjected to tests chamber after test chamber with unrelenting deadly obstacles and enemies. Each death is delivered in a gory, bloody fashion and is complemented by a silent narrator inscribing Splinter Cell-esque messages on the background acting as taunting reminders of your ineptitude and futility. The second game in the series, A Game of Clones, expands on its predecessor by introducing new gadgets and mechanics to play around with, a metroidvania world with secrets to explore and a story to explain this ominous facility. It’s dark humour and superb thought-provoking puzzle design requiring dexterity and pinpoint precision is not for the faint-hearted.
