Star Wars fans get excited. Star Wars Celebration is just around the corner, running over April 16th to 19th, and it sounds like Star Wars Battlefront will be taking part.

The game will be officially unveiled for the first time to the public at the convention, which celebrates everything Star Wars and has for a good few years now. Excitement for this years event is high due to the news of Episode VII, The Force Awakens, and the newly announced spin-off, Rogue One. Fans are eager to hear more, and this includes the game in development from Battlefield veterans, DICE.

The game is slated for a Holiday 2015 release, meaning it’s very close to The Force Awakens’ release as well, though nothing has been shown about the game since it’s initial announcement at E3. Rumours abound, however, including a supposed showing of the game at GDC, which apparently brought the crowd to their feet in thunderous applause. It sounds like the game may be pretty good, as many fans had previously dreamed about.

Star Wars Battlefront will be the third game in the franchise, but will more likely be akin to a Reboot. The game is very similar to Battlefield with a Star Wars twist, which lead to much excitement when EA had announced that DICE would be working on the franchise. Let’s hope April brings us some gameplay footage and a more solid release date.
