César Arminio, indie developer and creator of Pato Box, together with his design studio 2think and software house Bitmap Soft, are teaming up to bring you Glory Hunters. For all you retro nuts out there, Glory Hunters intends to be a physical release on the Game Boy, pending a successful Kickstarter campaign.
Some key information on Glory Hunters?
Glory Hunters is an action-adventure RPG for the original Game Boy. Glory Hunters, however, comes with a futuristic twist… You progress through the game by collecting achievements, of which there are over a thousand!! Glory Hunters is an open world game, with nonlinear gameplay and a huge map to explore, bigger than anything seen before on Game Boy. Like any good rpg, Glory Hunters has an epic story, and a world full of lore. In the 20+ hours of gameplay, find a variety of eccentric NPCs to aid you during your quest to save the land of Glorianta.
Physical copies will feature batteryless saving, so players need not fear of losing saves like with the old school Game Boy games. While the game will have a physical release on Game Boy, digital versions will also be available on PC via Steam.
Glory Hunters Plot
Rise Hunter! Look up as you hear the call. A massive object is about to strike Earth. Knights and warriors around the world make journeys from their homeland to the ancient gods’ vessels seeking blessing in an hour of need. These heroes are known as Glory Hunters.
