Independent developer Double Damage Games recently announced that they’ll be launching their Action Space Pirate game, Rebel Galaxy, on Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program.
Rebel Galaxy puts you in a randomly generated universe where you can battle pirates, explore anomalies, befriend aliens, scavenge wrecks you find and discover ancient artifacts. You can be a rogue-ish do-gooder (Han Solo and Firefly fans rejoice), a space trader or even a pirate yourself, even delving into a little bit of each. You can purchase larger and more powerful spacecraft with credits and find many secrets.
Focusing more on action than simulation, Rebel Galaxy is more about giant ships fighting, rather than fighters, and seems to be unique and one of the few rising spaceship games coming back from the dead this year. It looks extremely promising and is scheduled to come out sometime this year. Check out the games initial announcement trailer below.
