Indie developer Pet Project Games has teamed up with publisher 3D Realms to announce their partnership in bringing the co-op sci-fi horror FPS RIPOUT, to PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 consoles this year.
RIPOUT looks to be a sci-fi Left4Dead like shooter!
3D Realms today announced the partnership to publish RIPOUT, which was originally thought to be on PC only, but it has now been revealed the it will be arriving on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles too! Great news for gamers on those systems.
RIPOUT uses 80s style science fiction influences in its futuristic visual design. The intense coop shooter has been built in the Unreal Engine and will give players an action-packed journey for survival beyond Earth, set in 2084. Levels are procedurally generated to keep the feeling fresh and add to replayability. Players must be careful if they are to survive, as they fight to gun-down alien invaders.
The game features a variety of challenges. Hordes of mutant aliens of humanities own making will come after you, and are able to regenerate and mutate. Your strategy then, must be equally as cunning and dynamic. Your weapon is ‘your pet’, it is your saviour. It is upgradable and your gear customisable. Play the best way for your playstyle.
Alone amongst the mutated monstrosities of mankind, will you safeguard our legacy… or will our species be forever consumed by the void?
