Early Morning Studio have today unveiled Vendir: Plague of Lies coming in 2022
Vendir: Plague of Lies is an old-school party based RPG, set in the dark and atmospheric world of Vendir. Vendir is a foul twisted world, where the royal family profit from child slavery and the economy is built upon the selling of severed chunks of dead bodies. In this dark land, warfare everywhere. In this game you play not as some prophesised hero, you are no Dragon Born. In this RPG, you’ll be crawling your way out of the gutter of poverty, plague and destitution.
In Vendir: Plague of Lies the player takes on the role of a character who receives a message asking for aid from their sick and elderly mother. Like any good son/daughter, you find yourself thrust into danger in an unforgiving kingdom, where the slightest of crimes are met with the cruelest punishments. The tyrannical King Elrik has forbidden anyone to leave the city ever again, leaving you with a long and arduous quest that will put you in conflict with the brutal power that oversees Vendir’s misery.
Vendir: Plague of Lies draws influence from the rich-history of classic RPGs. Vendir: Plague of Lies uses a party-based combat with a turn-based initiative system to enhance tactical battles. Assemble a cast of compelling characters who add to the game’s story, as well as they your combat capabilities. Like many RPGs, characters will get involved in your conversations with NPCs to create a variety of conversational options and outcomes; adding to the story telling an immersion.
As you play through, encounter a dark and intricately crafted world that delivers atmosphere, immersion and storytelling. Experience a world of choice and consequence, where your decisions will have real weight encompassing conversation, combat, crafting and every other aspect of play. This game oozes passion for the RPG genre.
